Ward and Dirrell are both typical soft black american runners/excessive clinchers.
Bute KOs both of them.

I dunno' I suppose everybody makes mistakes when they're a kid, but you should remember that what you say on the web is there forever.
Btw, can't wait to see Bute fight some (or all) of the guys in the Super-Six. The only thing I question is his chin after the Andrade debacle.

2. Will only fight in his hometown
3. Has to use corrupt refs
4. Illegal excessive clinching
5. Holds on for dear life
6. Illegal excessive headbutts
7. works with BALCO founder Victor Conte, is probably on steroids
If Ward was a tough guy, he wouldn't need to cheat to win.
If you take away those 7 points, he's a mediocre fighter.Last edited by Steelhammer2011; 08-04-2010, 05:02 PM.

Lucian Bute clearly has a good skillset.
He's a southpaw, good overall boxing ability, fast hands, good puncher, good body puncher also.
His level of competition has been average compared to other top super middleweights but thats not his fault really considering 6 of the top super middleweights are in a tournament fighting one another.
He has got some solid wins like Andrade x2, Miranda and Bika.
Once the super six tourney ends, we should hopefully get to see Bute fight some of the other top super middlweights.
I don't like his chances against Dirrell, Ward or Abraham but he does have a chance and against the likes of Froch and Kessler, he has a very good chance.
He beats Green no problem imo.
