Hey Mexico how about promoting fighters that are actually already good?

His coulda been worth it if Maidana signed the contract to fight Ortiz

I wasn't buying this fight but the undercard at least makes me think about it. But I think Natas has a point, Juanma marquez is free on showtime .

Canelo puts on a show against Tata and Ortiz does his thing against Harris.

Where in the big book of ****** boxing fan rules does it say that a fighter has to have like 20 title reigns before he can be marketed as a fighter.

How the *** do you think De La Hoya got so popular and why Hagler didn't get any recognition till later in his career? Because one was marketed effectively and one was not.

I know because it's better having great champions like Montiel and Rafael Marquez having great fights and winning but most of Mexico not being really exposed to them but instead have some 20 year old kid that got rocked by a blown up lightweight at jr middleweight as their next big thing when there's already great fighters.

this undercard is complete crap. don't be fooled just cause these guys have notable names. these fights won't be competitive. baldomir and harris are completely finished. the jacobs-pirog fight was the best fight on the card for a reason. 2 top contenders fighting each other makes for a good fight not one contender fighting a washed up fighter. but i guess we can only have 1 or 2 fights like that a year while we build up these guys to be 50-0 stars!

When do Mexican fighters under the Featherweight limit ever get exposure? When do any fighters under the featherweight divisions truely get great marketing from their promoters? Have you even watched boxing over the last 100 or so years?

And so what if he got rocked it's boxing! It isn't exactly a tickling contest now is it?
