How lame is Pac-Marg for Pac's 8th division title?

it's pretty damn lame. I can't believe it's happening, but of course Pac's quest for an 8th title is the intriguing part of the fight from a promoters point of view. From a boxing fan point of view it's str8 bull****...
However, Cotto did beat Yuri who was the champ, and Pac and Marg both ****d Cotto, so....i dont know i dont even want to try to justify such bull****...
Sergio Martinez is the main motha****a at 154, but he would rather campaign at 160 so I have mixed feelings on the matter.

He got a title shot after accomplishing nothing in that division, he won it against a fighter who was 2-2 in his last 4 fights who was the 6th best 154 pounder in the world. The guys he won it from was at very end of his career and obviously not in his prime.


The only argument you have is the catchweight of 150 pounds which in case you didn't know is still in the ***ing junior middleweight division.

Cotto won the title legitimately from Yuri Foreman, and both pac and Marg beat Cotto pretty decisively. Maybe it wouldn't be as bad if the fight wasn't at a bull**** catch weight.
