Do any of you guys think Floyd Mayweather has deserved all the stick that he has been getting from the Media the past few weeks? I personally think he does. If you call yourself "The Greatest" you need to back it up. Ali called himself the Greatest, but he fought the best and backed up his boasts. When did you ever hear the Media call Ali a chicken? The media just calls it like it is. He started off by pretending he wanted the fight, and then when called he threw all these roadblocks virtually making it impossible to make the fight happen. He ended up saying he's really not interested finally realizing that soon all his bluffs will be called.

The media was as hard on Ali as it has been on Floyd. There was no internet during that time, nore was there an ESPN cable channel, so naturally it was a different situation, but he was just as hated and criticized to the same degree. He wasn't really appreciated by the media until after he retired. The same thing will happen to Floyd. They criticize him now for not fighting Pac. After he KO's Pac, they and the idiots on this site will continue to criticize him. He doesn't deserve the hate, but he is getting rich off of it, so I don't think he cares.

What you will find is that when Ali refused to fight in Vietnam and stayed out of boxing for three years because of it, he was called a deserter, a coward and every other hateful name you can think of and these hateful things were the lead stories on the evening news and front page news in major newspapers. if the fight happens next year then all of these people will look very foolish, if it doesn't happen next year then yes he deserve this abuse, the fight is just not happen this year, that doesn't mean the fight will NEVER HAPPEN!
