I mean dood I followed up Jacob's career for three years and I was honestly proud to see him go for his first world title, but for him to lose like that in the 5th round was shocking to me...Same feeling I had when Ortiz lost to Maidana...I gotta say it's an awesome feeling to follow a fighter's career upto the point where they win their first world title...any boxing fan can understand this...but it's heartbreaking when they lose that chance (no ****)...I don't undertand the kid did have some easy fights probably his hardest test was against Ishe Smith...then he had that lay off...I felt it was kinda sketch for Jacobs to go for a world title after going through easy opponents since that lay off...He probably needed one more fight with a mid level opponent...he's smart because he knew he was messing up he didn't want to stand there and fight he wanted to paw his jab and step back...this is unlike Jacobs...he's a good kid I hope he can come back...he is after all only 22 and had barely 20 fights won and most of them by 2nd round KO which doesn't give him many rounds under his belt...but this is the GBP ritual lol you sign under them and you get KTFO on a world title fight...
Anyone Else Feel Bad For Jacobs Loss?

Man my whole borough was hyped Danny was going for his first title. We were excited and ready for the celebration. It's sticker shock really. I knew how good Pirog, I knew he could be a superstar but I still didn't think he would beat Danny, especailly the way he did. He will be back though, I hope to see him fix some of his glaring flaws and when hegoes for the title again he will be ready.Comment

We can't feel sorry for everyone, especially in this sport. I'm sure he'll come back much stronger. The thing that kills me the most is how most fighters change after a lost. You just didn't see that as much in the past.Comment

i do feel bad when fighters i like lose, though jacobs isn't one of them, i understand why you would.
the better specimen won, from my point of view. i have much more to learn from pirog's style than jacobs' and, hopefully, jacobs learns a multitude of immediate lessons and comes back even better.Comment

I didn't feel bad, nothing against Jacobs but he was way too protected. 20-0 and didn't fight a real dangerous guy with KO power. He wasn't ready, but he definitely has the skill to rebound.Comment
