If JMM wants to fight at 140, why not Bradley?

Khan's team and Golden Boy are talking like JMM's only option to get a title in a 4th weight class is to fight Khan. Other than JMM and Khan both being promoted by Golden Boy this doesn't make sense to me.

I just don't understand why or how that can be his only option? There are other guys with belts in the division...

I think a Marquez-Bradley fight would be a much more interesting WAR of a fight. Bradley is short and actually engages with his opponent and his occasional reckless behavior brings a high entertainment value to his fights. He's also the #1 ranked 140lb fighter. He ALSO called out Pacquiao after his last fight. So if Marquez really wants a belt at 140, lets get it on!

    Marquez-Bradley!

    SCREW OFF KHAN!

It's a fight I don't mind seeing especially if JMM gets that feeling that he's being used as a gate-keeper fighter for up and coming contenders (Khan).

I dont want to see Marquez fight above 135 because at his age and at his size he just doesnt belong there. If Khan and Bradley want to fight there are plenty of good fights for them against guys who are in or around their primes and in their own weight class.

Easy, GBP doesn't want to risk Khan losing to a young, fresh fighter like Bradley or Alexander. They think that JMM is old and near the end of his career so they are trying to target him and will come up with crap excuses to not fight the other guys with belts. Bradley who?? Alexander wha???.....never heard of em

Right I agree. He doesn't belong there. But if you have the chance to be the first Mexican to EVER have a belt in 4 different weight classes, then the urge to atleast TRY is there. I think if he's going to jump and give it a go, he should pick Bradley who is the #1 guy, who hasn't lost, who is close to his size, and has less power compared to the 5'11" freak show in Khan who will just stay back and pot shot, and the incredibly strong Alexander who would hurt Marquez badly.

If Pacquiao has the power to pick and choose who he fights in different weight classes(David Diaz...), then Marquez should pick a fight that he has the best chance of winning and a fight that would be entertaining to the fans. That fight is against Bradley.

But all that said, I'd like to see him stay at LW and fight Katsidis.

Well JMM should have some bargaining power here and realize that he's trying to be used as a stepping stone.
