Vernon looked awsome, he was sharp and I think the layoff was the best thing for him. If he cotinues to train hard he should be great like he was before.

you can't accurately judge Vernon's performance vs. a guy who was that awful, everyone thought Tyson was back after he beat up on the Black Whino but Ettienne was horrible.....let's see Vernon vs. somebody with a pulse 1st, then assess his performance, last night was below sparring, it was more like getting paid for heavy-bag work

Setting aside the performance for a second...

Vernon needs to grow a little hair, sorry Vern-most black guys can pull the bald **** off with no problem but you look like an alien...if he is going to be world champ again he is going to have to grow a little fuzz, it is that simple.

I think that would be an interesting fight . A fight that Vernon would win . But i guess he needs a few more tune up fights .

Exactly..I just watched it and that was the first thing that stood out (somebody having said he was 9-0 when he was actually 17-0). He looked great and slightly weird with no hair but I love him all the same. I hope he goes back to welter wt. but if not within the next yr. or so I hope he takes on Winky.

i like Vernon betta than Ouma! Vernon's a good fighta and I think his comeback will benefit him mo than Vargas' comeback. In otha werds, Vernon will surpass Vargas (anotha fighta who came back afta a back injury and 2 devastating losses) in my opinion .

Remember Trinidad? He looked fantastic against Mayorga, then got his ass beat against a good opponent.

I didn't see the PPV (as I lack cable/satellite TV), but you can't judge a fighter's quality when he fights a bum. Wait and see, before you guys jump on a bandwagon.
