even now he picks katsidis apart and knocks him out late. marquez can continue to fight as long as he stays away from 140 and up and doesnt go anywhere near a pac fight.

He should fight Katsidis and see how things look after that. If he wins impressively then a Khan fight may be more justifiable and realistic. I didn't like how he gassed in the championship rounds last night, and it may have just been because of Diaz's cautious approach, but to me his punches looked lacking in crispness comparative to his prime self.

I noticed that too. It was a bittersweet fight for me.

Marquez still can beat a lot of the top ranked at 135. He can beat Guerrero and the other champions, but He can't hang with the Jr welters.

There's no big names at lightweight for jmm. Katsidis would be a fun fight but even at his age jmm kills him. Juan diaz shut out katsidis easily. Even though 140 is too big for him jmm needs to move up so he can get bigger names, bigger purses, and most importantly become the first mexican to win titles in 4 divisions. There's nothing big at 135 imo.

He's been showing signs of aging since the second Pac fight. He looked slower, less reflexes etc etc in that fight and it has been a slow degrading since then. What's not to notice about it unless people haven't really seen him at his 126 best many years ago?

It's pretty damn obvious that he's been fighting as an old, but great, warrior for many years now but he's still better than most and still has that great mind and experience to adapt and win.

It would be nice to see him retire on a win like this or have a crack at 140, and if he loses come back, defend his LW titles once more on a big **** and then bow out gracefully as the legend he is and if he wins....What better way to go out than as the first 4 division Mexican title holder.
