He can fight, PERIOD! MARQUEZ is just like MOSLEY was in the welterweight division. A Hall Of Famer who doesn't know when to hang'em up so someone has to do it for them. I don't care whether it's ORTIZ, BRADLEY, KHAN.....who does it. MARQUEZ has an EGO and that's all there is to it. He's not going to go away until he's beaten. There is nothing wrong with that either. People need to stop making excuses for certain fighters based on their dislike for that fighter. KHAN is taller than MARQUEZ, but not so much bigger. W.T.F.? MARQUEZ is short and powerful. He's got a punch but everyone wants to make it like KHAN is calling out someone who is smaller persay. It will be a great fight! It's a good fight to gage how much the younger fighter has learned since his first and only defeat. Because if he hasn't learned anything, which I know he has, he'll get K.O.ed. It's a very good fight to end the year. Why jump into a fight with another champion before the end of the year? What's the rush? He's still young and this is a name he needs for the reasons I mentioned above. Once MARQUEZ is out of the way, everyone can jump off his band-wagon and let him retire finally and we can really see who the best lightweight is.
    dude....wtf.

Marquez is a career FEATHERWEIGHT!!! 126lbs. He's pushing it fighting at 135, but that's where the most money will be for him. he didn't even make the 135 limit vs. Juan Diaz just now (JMM weighed in at 133).

Khan will show up on fight night 15 lbs heavier than him. It's a mismatch that nobody should pay for.

Seriously, what other supposed "elite" 140lb fighters are fighting the former featherweight legends other than this guy?

Goldenboy and Freddie Roach have to be the most annoying en****** in boxing today with their pushes for such bull**** fights

Dude, don't get so emotional you can't even spell right. Do you understand English? Do you understand what natural means? Roberto Duran started at 118. He was a natural 135 pound fighter. His optimum weight. Pac started at 108 or 112 or whatever, but his best weight is probably 130-140 also.

Natural weight is not where they are, it's where they will be best at and what their body is suited for. Khan is very young still and is 5'10". That is a natural WW size and he will move up soon.

Marquez is 36 and fighting at 35, yet he is still a natural 126 pounder. Does this make sense or do I have to type slower?

                Dig this........

MARQUEZ should retire while he is ahead then. My whole entire point is based off his DREAM, which is to win win a title at 140. His fans need to understand that when they start blaming the opponent for jumping at the opportunity to fight him. He called out MAYWEATHER too! Now he's calling out KHAN or ORTIZ so get upset with him if your one of his fans, not me for stating what I stated which is based off his dream. Be careful what you wish for. Some things we wish for, isn't worth the risk. CORRECT?

Khan is obviously scared of Maidana. But, its quite funny people saying he should stay away from guys like JMM because he is 'smaller'. JMM's last fight was at 140.

..........and he fought Mayweather at 147!

Even if JMM had a third fight with Pacquiao that would probs be at 140lbs aswell!

Tell me about it. Khan and Lopez need to stop picking on the old and shot Marquez brothers.

That's exactly it. Everybody wants to see Khan vs Maidana, but don't make out as if Marquez is an easy fight. Khan's chin puts him at a disadvantage against most fighters, let alone ones as crafty and as powerful as Marquez.

It's a good fight, just not the one I want to see.
