I had it about even before the stoppage the scoring man.
Pirog down on scorecards at time of stoppage!

I know, Imade a comment last night about that. I was telling one of my friends who was over to watch the fights that if the fight goes to the cards, Pirog will get ripped off even if he dominated Jacobs the entire time. I was not surprised when they announced that he was down on all 3 judges' cards....typical corrupt boxing stuff.....I hate how corrupt boxing is, it makes me sick....Jacobs was a "superstar" that HBO was trying to build up and cash in on so of course, he would get "favorable" scores.Comment

It would not have mattered what Pirog did in this fight, he would not have won a decision on a GB promotion on American soil.Comment

Thank God YOU aren't. No European boxer would ever win a round.
Pirog won the first with the cleaner, more effective punches and better ring generalship.
He dominated the second and should have had a knockdown as the ropes held Jacobs up.
I gave Jacobs the close 3rd round as he came back strong.
Pirog won the 4th round.
So counting the knockdown, I had Pirog up 39-36 after 4 rounds.Comment

After the first 3 rounds i had a feeling he was gonna get KTFO. Thanks God Pirog took down GBP's fat yank.Comment

That doesn't surprise me, what I do know is that Jacobs was gonna tire at some point and Pirog was gonna take it from there. Jacobs was moving a little too much and Pirog was countering/ blocking most of his shots.Comment

Same score also, except I gave Jacobs the 4th based on activity, I might have to rewatch that round though. I agree with the K.D.Thank God YOU aren't. No European boxer would ever win a round.

I had it like Tunney and I agree with Platano man's view about Jacobs moving a bit too much. I knew he would get caught sooner or later from fatigue by doing that.
The one thing I didn't like is when Jacobs tried to get up and beat the count, the goddamn ref pushed him back down.
WTF was that?
Jacobs got dropped good, but if a guy takes the count on his back until 6 or 7 doesn't mean you shouldn't let him get up if he wants to continue.
I'm not gonna say it was a bull**** stoppage cuz' the writing was on the wall, but it kinda was a bull**** stoppage in a fight that was getting real interesting.Comment
