    One truth about Dmitriy Pirog...

After watching the Pirog fight I will say this, HUNGRY!

WELL prepared, WELL trained and knew the fundamentals of boxing... Jacobs looked like an amateur in there... he had flashes...but his team or him should take the blame for not stepping up to the plate... how will this affect him hopefully positive, this will give him time to refocus.

but with Dmitriy Pirog, look for SHAW, Goosen somebody better pick this guy up because he looked like he was swimming without getting wet! smooth, slick pressure and knew how to sit on his punches.... some of the stuff he was doing, you can't train into a fighter! Dude was hungry! Dmitriy Pirog beasting on HBO wow! What a debut!

First time watching Pirog, and second time watching jacobs. Pirog looks like a well seasoned pro who has done his homework and looked ready and prepared while Jacobs looked lost and i doubt Jacobs camp checked on Pirog properly, I think they were expecting a typical eastern european guy.

I had watched a few fights of Pirog's and wasn't nearly as impressed with him as I was with Golovkin or Korobov, but he showed me a lot last night. Came to the ring extremely well prepared, as calm as if this was his 10th title defense. Tricky defense and not a hell of a lot of handspeed or power, but he makes it work. Don't think he beats Martinez or Williams at this stage, but won't be an easy fight for anyone.

He's promoted by Titov i think. From what i know about him he seems like a pretty good and capable promoter.

Alot of good it's done Dzinziruk signing with that fat greaseball Shaw.

His crazy style reminds me of Bute's. Love it.

The American promoters may not want to sign Dmitry Pirog, because they know Ross Greenburg doesn't like skillful European boxers and is extremely reluctant to allow them on HBO.

Gary Shaw has run into this problem with Dzinziruk - Greenburg won't allow Sergiy on against Williams or anybody else.

Greenburg even refused to show Cunningham-Adamek II and Glen Johnson-Adamek last year.

Ditto. Dmitry shocked me. eHe's a future star...maybr superstar. Hopefully he gets Martinez because I think he will KO him and then unify with Golovkin who is my pick for the best fighter from 160-175 of this generation.

                  Golovkin is the truth.

The difference betwen Pirog and his easter Euro brethren is tha, like Calzaghe, he mixes the best of the American and Euro styles. They will stick with Dmitry just like they stuck with Cal.
