American fighters are turning into British fighters,

According to this guy (couldn't post in the idiot scouse threadstarter's thread, I'm on his list),

That sounds like the blueprint over here in the UK.

Looks like the Brits are dominating boxing.

By showing the rest of the world the trade secrets of being absolutely **** and getting "EXPOSED! LOL!" as soon as you make any kind of significant step up.

    LOL,

this is my version of a bait thread, I guess.

Jacobs isn't ****. Nor are some of the British fighters who get "EXPOSED! LOL!" They're just brought on badly.

I just found that passage really funny, had to play on it.

Same thing happened with Mitchell. He was fed soft opposition for 30 fights and when it was time to step up he got KO'd. If he started fighting decent opponents a little earlier in his career, he might have had the experience to win. But Pirog is a much better fighter than Katsidis, and Jacobs doesn't have anything to be ashamed about. He just needs to be put in some competitive fights against some b-class opponents.

Pirog is old as ****, time to step up to the big leagues. Lets see if he can beat Paul Williams, he's American after all.

              timba,

Well, I saw the Mitchell thing coming a mile off (as a big fan) and called it here long before it actually happened.

Roman Martinez would've hurt him at 130lb, too. Walter Estrada smacked the dog**** out of him and nobody in Britain noticed because it was on a US undercard.

I disagree that Pirog is a much better fighter than Katsidis, or even as good as Katsidis. He's done nothing to suggest that.

You might think he's a technically better fighter, but that's only one part of it.

Katsidis has shown real Championship calibre in a couple departments, while Pirog's faced nothing comparable as far as I know. Care to correct me?
