Of course it was close. Pac knocked Marquez down three times in the first round, but it was a 12-round fight and Pac only won 2 or 3 rounds after that (Roach has even admitted this). It can be argued that Marquez won 8 to 9 rounds. Therefore, a close fight on the scorecards.
