A trilogy with pac at 140s is what hardcore boxing fans like me want too see. Even though Jmm will be the underdog, i would't count him out he gave pac more trouble than any other fighter. By the way Mayweather is bad 4 boxing get da h** up out the game.

only *******s said FLoyd killed JMM. then later on they'd say FLoyd was too big and over the weight limit. anything to badmouth anyone who either was a true challenge to Pac or who will school Pac. typical.

pac should fight jmm at 140 or even a catchweight of 138. what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

pac can make 138 i think , if he tries.

        shame he won't.

I want to see a 3rd fight of this 2 great warrior at 147lbs coz pac is the
Champ of the WBO version of WW.

No catchweight pls.... so that we can witness how great JMM is, lol

How do you figure that one? Considering they already fought at Mayweather's best weight and Marquez' worst while out of his prime and he couldn't KO him? Unless of course you're just taking the piss.....

But the 12-round lightweight championship rematch between Juan Manuel Marquez and Juan Diaz was far from a letdown, as Marquez added another superb performance to his legendary career with a well-earned unanimous decision at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday evening.

Scores were 116-112 118-110 117-111 for Marquez, who makes the second successful defense of the lineal championship he wrested from Joel Casamayor nearly two years ago.

Both fighters worked their strengths in the early going. For Diaz, it was a whirlwind of activity and movement that has overwhelmed who have stood in front of him. For Marquez, it is an assassin type approach, picking apart game plans as easy as any other fighter in the game today.

While Marquez for the most part dominated, it wasn’t without taking punishment himself. For as technically sound as Marquez is, Diaz seems to have his number. The Houston native caught him cleaner and more often than just about any other fighter not named Floyd Mayweather.

This fight was more on a technical level and while it kept Diaz in the game, trying to match boxing profiency with a master like Marquez is hardly a recipe for success. This was no different for Diaz who tried to box more this time out. It was a catch 22 situation for Diaz – does he box and hope to stay in the fight, or try and get inside of Marquez knowing he could take more punishment but give more in return? Screw GBP.. They think they can just lie to Fans then try to negotiate with Arum just to get what they want. In the heat of the talks about Pacquiao vs Mayweather; they just shut their mouth.

They don't deserve a piece of pacquiao...

              Manuel Marquez

Go fight yourself Juan Manuel, you are an a$$hole controlled by by the Golden Hypocrite Promotions. Pacquiao is a welterweight champion and he is not going down to fight you at 143. You think you're smart, you cabron. If you want to fight him fight him as a welterweight and your Hypocrite promotion should guarantee Pacquiao with no less than $25 million purse plus 90-10 & share of the PPV in Manny's favor. If you can't do these things, shut up and go **** youself.

Hmm, would Pac get more credit for fighting Marquez @ 142 then opposed to Margarito @ 150?

Pacquiao/Marquez III at 140 would still be a great fight. Diaz did all he could to stay standing in that fight and did an excellent job of boxing, Pacquiao could not do this and would give Marquez a lot more chances to land hard counter shots, making for another great fight, i'd love to see it.

                    yes he would

140 would be fair imo, and even then Marquez is out of his comfort zone

but JMM at 142 is better than Marg at 150

JMM is a P4P legend, Marg probably cant spell P4P

Marquez desparate for a mega buck fight

Pacquiao would run all over Marquez, as he did Diaz, De La Hoya, Hatton, Cotto, and Clottey. Marquez is not the young fighter he was when he fought Pacquiao the first two times. He is like Mosley-37! And he still is chasing after Pacquiao? I see right through him! He wants to retire with millions of dollars. This is why he doesn't want to face Khan or work his way up. He might lose. At least Mosley admitted that he wants to fight Pacquiao for the money in order to retire in comfort.

Ironically, Marquez is now getting a taste of his on medicine- Khan is pursuing him. If I were Pacquiao, I would continue to ignore him.
