"When you mess with the bull you get the horns." That is what happened in Fight I.
Marquez is a counterpunher by trade, in the first fight Baby bull attacked Marquez which lead to the KO, because he played into Marquez style. Baby bull decided to box and stay away from Marquez in II, hoping that JMMwould tire in the later rounds. Unfortunately Marquez did not tire and outboxed J Diaz by a wide margin which was relfected in the score cards.

For the naysayers, I guess Pac also lost his punch since he was unable to KO Clottey. Duh!!!!!!!

why was there a rematch anyway?????

I am one of the few who thinks a rematch wasn't necessary in this case. WHY? Because it was back and forth in the first fight? Or because it was a toe-to-toe fight? MARQUEZ is finished in my book but he is still too skilled for a fighter like DIAZ who isn't smart enough to beat MARQUEZ. This rematch proved nothing at all, and had no business on pay-per-view. MOSLEY/MORA either but at least MORA has a good chance at beating MOSLEY iwho looks finished also. Back to MARQUEZ. I don't think he honestly believes he can beat MANNY. MANNY would kill this guy at this stage in their careers. MARQUEZ should retire as champion befroe he gets stopped which will probably be in his next fight.A young fighter with skill would be too much for him at this point. The 140lb division is the best in boxing I think.

That would be a good fight while it lasts, but Marquez has bigger fish to fry. HBO seems like they were content on him settling in the lw division since they knew it would be the end of Marquez (potential value-wise at least) if he stepped up to be a stepping stone at the higher weight classes.

The guy that lost to both Casamayor & Juan Diaz. Didn't JMM KO both of these guys?

I would rather see JMM fight Soto for the undisputed Lightweight championship chief.

JMM has lost a step. I'm a diehard JMM fan but I don't think he can beat any of the guys at 140. I thought he shouldve fought Urango when he had that belt but instead Alexander got too him first. He has nothing left to prove at 135. I think hell loose but I think he should challenge one of the 140 guys then cash out against sotto or Morales. I'm just speaking as a fan when I say 2011 is the year to retire and wait to go to the hof. Fck pac let him keep fighting at catch weights and take the glory from people that don't realize he's a flawed fighter that needs everything in his advantage before the fight even starts.

jmm is great and u cant really knock him.his accuracy is still amongst the best. his career is more of bad timing . hes looking his age and definitley doesnt need a 3rd with manny. he should be happy that he outconnected manny in the last 2 fights. he should wind it down; definitley doesnt want to lose to a ***** like khan and become a stepping stone.

JMM weighed in at 133.5 compared to 134.5 & 135 for his two previous Lightweight fights which ended up in KO's. He was the bigger puncher in this fight which was evident as J Diaz was the only guy rocked in the fight, so that means he still packs a punch. The only reason that Diaz was not Ko'd was becasue J Diaz did not wish to go to a war with JMM.

The stratergy and the opponent have alot to do how a fighter looks in a fight. Pac vs Clottey is a recent example.

                      Analyze and quit reacting.
