Heavyweight title challenger Danny Williams has launched a vicious verbal assault against heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko. "Klitschko has a yellow streak in him," said Williams. "He does not like it when things get tough. His heart is definitely a weakness and it's up to me to expose it once again." Williams was referring to Vitali's loss to Chris Byrd, a bout in which Klitschko retired at the end of round nine due to a shoulder injury. "Klitschko only half-hurt his shoulder near the end against Byrd when he was way ahead on the scorecards," stated Williams. "He just pulled out and said he would live to fight another day. Those are not the words of a true warrior." Meanwhile, Williams' trainer, Jim McDonnell, lashed out at Vitali saying the heavyweight champion has suspect stamina, a robotic style and a steroid past. "Like all the others who have used steroids, [Klitschko] will never be as happy in his mind as a clean athlete. It doesn't matter how fit and strong he is for this fight, he knows with drugs that he could be stronger." The champion has admitted that he unknowingly used a steroid as an amateur. Vitali Klitschko is a 4-1 favorite to defend his WBC title against Danny Williams when they meet on Saturday at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. HBOPPV will televise.
