I Always Said Daniel Jacobs Was Overrated.

I honestly thought he was the real deal, theres no denying hes got the skills , speed and power to be a top fighter, but the Sky analysts were saying Jacobs is used to being the bully in the ring, and basically today he came up against a bigger bully and couldnt handle the pressure. I think they are right....
Jacobs defence looked pretty shocking though I gotta say, that big right hand was inevitable
Pirog was coming over top of Jacobs jab and landing counter rights quite easily, that suprised me.Comment

i just dont see that snap in his punches that punchers with power have. his jab is a flick and if his right aint over the top its more of a stab or even a push punch.
imo, he doesnt have the power to be a power boxer. doesnt have the elusiveness or instincts to be a pure boxer. and he doesnt look like he's good at setting traps or transitioning from defense to offense to be an exceptional counter puncher.
i honestly dont think he even knows what his identity is as a boxer.Comment

He's sloppy & predictable IMO. Plus, any good fighter that takes him to the later rounds will KO him.Comment

What ?
Are you the same JerseySugar that voted for a easy KO by Jacobs over Pirog ?http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=409803
Always said it. He just always never had that x-factor about him and I have always never rated him highly.
Pirog really took him apart and exploted him.Comment

yep. You had some posters say he could be very good, which is a true statement. But very very few people were hyping him to be this big breakout star.
He's a good fighter with a lot of potential, who got beat by a better fighter at this stage in his career. thats all there is to it.Comment
