You are a Floyd fan so you are looking at the fight from a different perspective. It usually takes 2 to make it an "exciting" fight.
1) Mosley looked his age in that fight. He was overly tense and that may have been due the fact that he had a long layoff as well. It feels different when you do it for "real" versus the gym. Mosley was not the Mosley we know so that made it easier for Floyd to be Floyd all night long.
2) Floyd should have gone for the KO since he pretty much lost his dance partner after the 2nd round. Since he wasn't even close to KOing Mosley it brought the level below what one would call excitement. Instead Floyd did not take the risks to go for the KO even though it was clear to most of us, Mosley was progressively deteriorating throughout the fight.
Here is an example that you would no doubt agree. Manny vs Clottey had potential but Manny's dance partner covered up all night long. Manny showed his offensive skills so much that Clottey went into "shell shock"..... One may say, as you said above, you call yourself a fan of boxing if you didn't care for Manny's total dominance of the fight? One would say Manny was dominating but that was NOT an exciting fight.
