I gotta admit I think the scoring of the fight was atrocious. Anybody who didn't have Barrera winning at least of the five of the twelve rounds need to learn how to watch fights. With that said, I think Barrera had the advantage somewhat in power and this was JMM's first fight at 130. And JMM still matched him punch for punch landing more power shots overall during the course of the fight. I think JMM would've beaten him really convincingly if a rematch took place.

I had it 117-110. I've argued this topic to death though. HBO was on Barrera's nuts all night.

Come on now. You can't say he ducked Naz when Naz's own trainer said it was the other way around. And neither he or Morales ducked the other. They were just at different weight classes at different times.

And his next move will determine whether he's ducking Katsidis. For example, if he fights Khan next, he's obviously not ducking because Khan is a better fighter than Katsidis. But if he fights some bum like David Diaz, then obviously he's ducking. I personally think he should unify with Humberto Soto next and then retire. It'll give Mexico one more huge fight before he goes. Heck, both should retire after that.

He already beat fighters who beat Kastidas. Fighting Diaz again for one million and possibly fighting Khan for a couple millions is not ducking Kastidas. JMM is not going to make that kind of money fighting Kastidas and the fight would've to be on regular HBO.
