Gennady Golovkin vs Felix Sturm... Possibility for Early Next Year?

I believe Sturm's the "WBA Super Champ" and Golovkin will be fighting for the interim title next month vs Nunez, so what are the possibilities of a Golovkin vs Sturm fight early next year? That is ofcourse both Sturm and Golovkin win their upcoming fights.

Golovkin has what it takes to defeat Sturm and his many notable amateur victories are evidence of his potential.

So, what are the chances of this fight taking place and who do you believe takes it?

Also, don't give me the bull**** about Sturm being scared of Golovkin. Universum ruined the fight a few months back.

That is my understanding of the situation too. Golovkin was trying to get released from Universum (which he now is) and Sturm refused to get involved with his former promoter. Hopefully with that roadblock removed they can unify the WBA belt.

I can't imagine Sturm beating Golovkin.

So, this is the kid that everyone is ranting and raving about....would be a great test and a great stepping stone if he could beat Sturm.

            Hopefully.

I see no reason why they shouldn't fight early next year if both win their next two fights.

Is there something else we should be worried about?

He's 28 years old and I guess his time is now or never.

The Middleweight Division is about to heat up with the likes of Korobov, Golovkin, Jacobs, Pirog etc etc etc

Yeah, I just checked out his boxrec and that jumped out at me, 28 years old. You would think the time is now, he must have a pretty deep amateur background. He still doesn't have an impressive win on his record so this fight looks pretty vital for major success and it looks like a fight that needs to happen soon.

Universum was holding him back just like Dzinziruk, Erdei, etc that's why he fought to get out from under them thankfully.

He was the 2003 World Amateur Champion and beat
                  Oleg Mashkin
                  Yordanis Despaigne
                  Andy Lee
                  Matvey Korobov
                  Lucian Bute (KO)

Probably the most impressive run in a tourney i'v ever heard of. He also beat Andre Dirrell in the 04 Olympics.

The Direll and Bute KO amateur fights are on youtube along with quite a few more if you're interested.
(He absolutley scambles Bute's brain with that punch, definition of ***** street)

I just watched both but the Direll fight wasn't by kayo, it was 23 to 18(seemed closer than that) victory for Golovkin. He obviously has talent but it looked like Direll really fought a sloppy fight(credit to Golovkin for making Direll fight like that but still) and as we can see Andre has really made big strides in the past two years and has improved in almost all facets of his game. As for the Bute fight, that was a hell of a shot. Bute and Direll are big dudes and that's why they fight at 168 but one thing that I noticed was Golovkin looks a bit undersized for even 160. He looks very advanced in technical fighting though.
