    Floyd and Don King

Floyd “Money” Mayweather has publicly stated that he is not interested, at least any time soon, in facing the man who beat him out for the Fighter-of-the-Decade Award, Manny Pacquiao, because he is “Not thinking about boxing.” But Mayweather has tweeted that he is grabbing a meal with legendary boxing promoter Don King. When someone thinks of the name Don King — what word comes to mind? — perhaps, boxing?

Well perhaps Mayweather and King were just hanging out as friends. Despite King being almost 80, and Mayweather in his early 30s, I’m sure they have a lot in common apart from boxing. And I’m sure boxing never came up in a conversation once. I am about as sure about that as I am sure that talks didn’t take place between Mayweather’s camp and Pacquiao’s concerning putting together the biggest bout in boxing history.

The bottom line is Mayweather shouldn’t have to be “desperate” to fight Pacquiao; at the same time, Floyd must realize that if he doesn’t, he will be remembered as the second best of his era, similarly to how he came in second in voting for the best fighter of the decade behind the Pac Man.

But I’m sure, like everyone else, if I actually wanted time away from boxing the last person that I would want to spend time with is Don King. But seriously, anyone could see that King is a struggling promoter who is desperate to gain a big name fighter to his stable, so perhaps he can try to charm Mayweather into allowing him to promote his next fight instead of Golden Boy Promotions.

Besides, King represents a few potential future opponents for Mayweather in his stable – perhaps fans will get to see a slugfest and a potential early candidate for Fight-of-the-Year in 2011 — Floyd “Money” Mayweather vs. Cory Spinks.

Dude, honestly? Do you know ANY OTHER FIGHTERS?
Manny will not agree to be fully tested, this is one of Floyds terms "Any fighter that gets in the ring with me, from now on will be subjected to OST".

Floyd is not desperate to get in with a guy who will not be willing to test. Marg=desperate.. Clottey=desperate.. Any other fighter looking to make atleast a mill=desperate..

Its funny to me, the same fighters that are willing to fight Pac without a test, are willing to test for a fight with Floyd.... interesting huh?
