Who will be the first Mexican to win a title in 4th weight class?

And how do you like each of these fighters chances?

    1. JMM (if he gets past Diaz) will try against Ahmir Khan
    2. Marco Antonio Barrera will try against Humberto Soto
    3. Morales will more than likely gun for someone at 135 if he continues to lose weight
    4. Montiel will have to get it off of either Poon, Toshiaki Nishioka or WV-2
    5. Arce will probably try against Morel

Honestly those are all the guys that I can think of who are on the cusp of achieving this feat right now. Personally I will have to go with MAB as the guy with the best chance. Not saying he pulls if off but I think he has the best chance.

Take Arce off the list, interim titles don't count.

Amir Khan is all wrong for him. Khan is just gonna stay on the outside and pick him apart with that jab. Also Amir has the movement along with his size to give Marquez all types of hell.

Poor Arce. Even if he had gotten the title he has a snowballs chance in hell against the champs at 118. Guys like Montiel, Perez etc would eat him alive...lol

Yea JMM I think has best chance right now if not him gonna end up being like Canelo late in his career cause don't think anyone here has as good as a chance.

Honestly, how is being the 1st Mexican 4 division champ more of an achievement than anyone from anywhere winning 4 titles in 4 divisions?

We are getting a little too detail oriented in regards to goals if this actually means anything at all.

This might be the correct answer. Hopefully Canelo can win a title at 147 before he outgrows the division. The more I think about it, the more I think Montiel might be the one to do it. I can see a scenerio in which some of those top 122 move up to chase the big names at 126, allowing Fernando to fight someone beatable like Moliter. I honestly don't like his chances against poon or caba and there are too manybig names at 118 to keep him there for while.
