Comments Thread For: Weights: Juan Manuel Marquez 133.5, Juan Diaz 135

On Saturday night, WBA/WBO lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez defends his titles against Juan Diaz in a rematch of their 2009 "fight of the year" battle. Marquez was ripped and ready to go at 133.5-pounds. Diaz came in at the division limit at 135-pounds. Both returns from defeats. Marquez lost by decision, in a welterweight contest, to Floyd Mayweather Jr. last September and Diaz lost a decision to Paulie Malignaggi. [Click Here To Read More]

I think at this stage of his career he's a natural Junior lightweight but still he's barely a LW.

it's a bad sign when a fighter comes in two pounds under the weight limit. even though juan manuel missed that sign by a half a pound, i still don't like his weight. it makes me feel something may be off.

Droping weight is so dangerous for a fighter, If was an odds maker, this would affect my judgement.
