Doug wrote an article prior to this stating he believed marg didn't know his hands had plaster in them. Doug has been Top Ranks mouthpiece just as they are applying in Cali for a new liscence. he is making arguments with circumstantial evidence to make marg look sympathetic. I can't believe he is doing this without recieving something. he is basically exopnerating him for loading his gloves. how could someone who professes to love boixng defend someone who did this?

Diddn't mean for my reply to come off as a challenge Ray....but I know where your comin from...I too don't recall any topics regarding fights being negotiated or on the table for Margarito vs. Zab/Baldo/Spinks......we all know though that he did fight P-Willy and Floyd said he was a nobody/ rec'd more money and titles to fight Baldo....

Yeah, Mayweather was the only guy that i seem to remember been linked to Margarito, I dont recall Spinks, Judah or Baldomir having a been linked to him but am doing some digging now to see if Spinks or Judah was ever interested in fighting him, Because at that time Rito was the WBO so at some point a fight with him and Spinks or Judah could or might have been spoken about.

Agreed, And also I don't agree that this fight should be a title fight for vacant W.B.C. jr.middleweight world title.
As if Margarito is already a champion and Pacquiao is not even rated nor true jr.middleweight.

Not condoning or supporting the fight with Pac...but someone definately thought out of the box on this one....

No dis-respect to Mosley....but he WAS campainging in the 154lb division while Margarito was in the 147lb division....

Mosley was fighting DLH, Winky (2x) and Vargas (2x) in the timespan that Margarito was the supposed "Most Feared Fighter"....he then came down to fight Collazo....

You have a point, but Mosley repeatedly stated he was willing to go back to 147 for the right fight. After Winky beat him twice, he actually fought at Welterweight twice in 2005, before moving back up to up to fight Vargas 2006. Like you said, he was campaigning at 154, but he was still in the picture at 147.

What I meant by disrespect, I meant people never give Mosley enough credit. Fisher gives Cotto credit for fighting and losing to Tony in 2008, but never even mentions old Mosley destroying big Tony six months later.

What annoyed me the most about the article is that these guys were acting like this is Margarito from 2005-2007 (he also lost to Williams in 07), and not even taking the events of 2009 into consideration. There at least 5 guys who are more deserving of a Pac fight than Margarito, and Mosley is actually one of them, btw.
