Floyd's dumb strategy to keep his undefeated record is to not fight at all. I mean, if you don't fight you can't lose, right? On the surface, this sounds smart (not DUMB) because it insures with 100% certainty that the equity that comes with being undefeated is secured. The equity being that 90% of the reason people pay money to watch Floyd fight is to see him lose.
What's so dumb about this strategy is that it is already obliterating his legacy - something he will regret decades into the future.
The other portion of this dumb Mayweather strategy is to have Pacquiao fight someone else and HOPE he loses. Floyd's rational for this is if perchance Manny loses then he won't have to duck him ever again as he has been doing. He will just say, "This midget does not belong in the ring with me. I won't even fight hm for 90% of the purse".
But Pacquiao is smart. He just fights someone "dangerous" that he can easily beat, take the money, while preserving his massive public relations victory over the ducker Mayweather.
