Dawson pretty much does everything Pascal does better and is a more intelligent boxer than him as well. Although it will be competitive, I think it will most likely be due to Pascal's athleticism, but ultimately will be outsmarted by Dawson.

i wasn't giving pascal a chance until i read your topic title, ironically.

we can go through how dawson has faced better competition, though late in their careers, and how dawson is the better boxer and is quicker with faster hands and is more crafty, etc., etc.

or we can consider that, for a fighter of his obvious talent, dawson was suppose to dominate just about everyone he's faced and has not given that type of performance that leaves boxing fans or commentators at a loss for words.

tomasz adamek was his best performance, all things considered, and dawson started to run out of gas in a fight where adamek was pressing him here and there but not really throwing punches. dawson tried to cover up his habit of fading late in his last fight with johnson by never really engaging and outboxing johnson from the outside. i don't expect him to be able to do this with pascal.

pascal's youth, athletic ability and hunger will make it very difficult for dawson to completely control where the fight takes place. dawson hasn't faced someone with pascal's youth and level of skill...ever, to my knowledge.

i give pascal a solid chance because he is ready to fight until the final bell rings while dawson's championship rounds are often spent trying to survive.

I think Pascal is faster, hits harder, is moar rugged and more dynamic.

On top of all that, he fights like a Real Man™, the fight is in Canada and I feel Dawson is severely overrated.

Pascal has plenty of raw talent but does alot of things wrong, this will be capitalized on by the technically superior Dawson for the win.
