2000 De La Hoya vs. 2010 Pacquiao

The real reason behind the whole "Pacquiao doesn't win fantasy fights" is because they haven't watched a prime Oscar or Mosley, so they can't make an analysis. It's annoying though, but I'm able to see through their bull****.Comment

De La Hoya was a beast during his prime, pretty near unstoppable. Pacquiao during that time didn't have enough of what Roach has taught him now to beat a 2000 De La Hoya.Comment

But, I see where it comes from though. And, I agree to a degree. For some reason Pac can't win a fantasy fight....
I remember when Flicker and Burner were giving Jorge Linares a great chance in beating the 126/130 version of Pac. I mean Jorge Linares FFS's, not Shane or Oscar but Linares... I mean IMO it just get overblown....
But, like I told Dazed, I would favor Oscar... But, I don't think it is a clear cut victory for Oscar. I can honestly see Pac winning that fight too. Just my opinion.Comment

The 2000 OScar was pretty near unstoppable? What?
And, the 2010 Pac didn't have enough what Roach taught him? OK.............Comment

I agree with your first point, partially with the second, and completely disagree with the last.Oscar would be the favorite to win for obvious reason. And, honestly he should be.
However 3 things that work against him against Pac.
Oscar for big fights didn't deliver against prime fighters. Pac in 2010 is prime and it would of been a BIG fight.
Oscar didn't look spectacular against southpaws.
And, Oscar in 2000 had stamina issues and against Pac speed and work rate could of been a big issue late in the fight.
11 rounds with Vargas, 12 with Quartey, and never really looking gassed, even during the latter stretches of these fights. He's gone 24 rounds with Mosley in full on wars, losing by three rounds or less in each fight.
2010 Pacquiao has boxed 317 professional rounds, compared to De La Hoya with 308. In my opinion, his lack of stamina didn't start till after Mosley II.Comment

He had lack of Stamina during the first Mosley fight and also against Tito. Is a reason why he stop trying to outbox Tito. He couldn't go any longer.I agree with your first point, partially with the second, and completely disagree with the last.
