After watching the DLH/Hopkins fight for the first time, I wasnt that impressed with B-Hop. I had it about even before the KO.

I completely agree. I saw the fight live when it happened, but I was at a bar and there was a lot going on all around me so I didnt have the best feel for it like I would watching it at home. I had thought Hopkins dominated Oscar but that was not the case at all. He was on his way to a MD, but it was a pretty close fight until Oscar went down.

well he was fighting a future HOFer...but even though DLH was a blown up welter...Hopkins fought him (and Tito) with boxing ability/skill...rather than trying to impose his size...DLH is a skilled fighter and no one had clearly beaten him down...so I wouldn't expect Hopkins to be able to shut him out every minute of every round...plus I feel Hopkins knew it was the big stage and didn't want to screw things up by allowing DLH to flurry and steal rounds with his quickness...

I don't know if you have seen other Hopkins fights...but DLH ended up just like any of his past opponents...Hopkins starts slow, patient, slowly gets into the fight, then begins to break you down, and either finish strong to a decision or finish you off...

The man has many tools and shows that he can adjust...Hopkins is not a HUGE MW and doesn't impose his size and power on smaller guys...that is why you didn't see him bombard DLH...that is just not his style...

you have any bets going on that fight yet?? I will admit, I'm worrid that Jermain may be jumping in there with nard just a bit early, but if he waits everybody will just say he beat an old man (and they'll say that if he beats him tonight..a "no win" situation for taylor)
