Danny Williams pulls out of Skelton fight!

Britain's Danny Williams has pulled out of his British heavyweight title bout with champion Matt Skelton because of a flu virus, BBC Radio Five Live report.

Williams had earlier weighed in at a huge 20st 3lbs (283 lbs) for the fight, which was scheduled for Bolton on Saturday.

Williams, who had weighed in at 20st 3lb (283 lbs), told promoter Frank Warren late on Friday night and his place will now be taken by Chesterfield's Mark Krence.

"I am disgusted and won't be promoting any fights involving him," Warren said.

TWENTY STONE? Man, I'm DISAPPOINTED! Mind you, I always thought Skelton would have had the formula to beat psyche-head Danny. Not because he's a better boxer, but in the Clubbing Bear's case, being a better boxer means nothing... nearly all of his opponents have been better technical fighters.

I dunno... Danny not even turning up to the conference... a virus which does add retrospective doubt to his "I had shingles vs. Samil Sam" story...

It's clearly NOT THE FAULT of the organisers who have had to organise a last-minute replacement, but the last time I saw Krence was when he was getting beat by a domestic fighter who's name I can't remember but had THE most impressive *****-**** I've ever seen on a boxer. Really juicy pwabs, they were. Before that he was a sacrifical lamb to Tawdry Embarrassin'. But as I say, it's a last-minute replacement, and a clear and easy walk-over for Skelton. But who cares? People are only tuning in for Amir Khan anyway... then they'll see Skelton get an impossibly easy victory and buy into him, too. Better all round, maybe?
