I dare you to watch Lemieux(who is without a shadow of a doubt my second favorite up prospect right behind Danny Jacobs) and then watch an episode of Hajime no Ippo and tell me they aren't the same damn person.

On a side note, David Lemieux vs Shawn Porter, that will be worth enormous bucks down the line, bank on it.

lol it seems those are the only threads that get attention now.

I have never seen that show but Lemieux looked great on fnf. It will be interesting when they step him up to bigger competition though.

Watch half an episode of n Ippo fight, it's on youtube. I used to watch it when I was a freshman and was boxing in the gym, everything was boxing for me. He fights JUST like Lemieux, same short ass arms and very short for the division they are in. However they both pack on hell of a punch and weave, cut the ring off and work their way inside to do their damage.

Lemieux is excellent, I think there is a much better chance that we see him squaring off with Jacobs, Korobov, Golovkin, N'Jkam, or Martinez than Porter though.

I forgot about this guy. What's up next for him? He's the most exciting Canadian I've seen since, well, Gatti.

That's also a good comparison. I was just watching some of his older fights and his attributes and this ****er is the real life version of Ippo. They even fight exactly alike to maximize the face they aren't the tallest longest MW's/FW's.

haha I was not expecting this

I've only watched a few episodes
I don't like that anime, action is so slow, too much thinking time

so I don't know about that, but Lemieux is one hell of a prospect

                    Lemieux is 5'10
                    it's not that short

he won the Canadian super middleweight championship last year
