Also, what good does it do if Johnson wins? Is he going to get a crack at Dawson again? Extremely unlikely. That leaves who else? Other young guys Johnson will have to fight, basically the same **** as if he were to lose.

It's good for the sport if Cloud wins I guess, no doubt. But if Johnson were to beat Cloud on televised HBO, that would open doors up for him. He needs it at this stage. Pavlik may fight him, and Johnson could get a good payday from that probably as long as most of Pavlik's fans haven't abandoned him. But then again, why am I jumping down Dawson's throat on that other thread when Shaw said something about Chad fighting Pavlik? I guess it's because that really is the only marketable opponent Johnson could fight other than maybe Bute.

What I'm trying to get at, is I always root for Johnson to win because of the stuff he's been through. And Cloud hasn't made any waves at all by being so inactive.

The inactivity largely was due to management. If you recall Cloud was supposed to fight Johnson a few months back but the whole don king thing got in the way.

I want to see the best possible fight at 175 against the best fighters and imo that is dawson and cloud.

I also believe Cloud is the type of fighter that is very good for the sport, very pleasing to watch. I agree his inactivity sucks, but I think all of that was management (the first long layoff he foolishly believed dawson would fight him because he was his mandatory. Good management would have kept him in the ring instead of waiting for something that might not never come. Most recently it was the transition over to don king which delayed the fight further).
