Clottey was a top 5 welterweight and a solid title defense.

Sure there could be better than Margarito, but who is there to fight realisticly?

Floyd doesn't want to fight this year.
Berto & P-Will are managed by Al Haymon which means not gonna happen.
Tim Bradley has had one fight at 147 and wasn't all that impressive belongs at 140.
Mosley is fighting Mora.

So who do you have left? Margarito or Cotto. Out of those two choices I'd pick margarito since we already seen Cotto vs Pac.

Arum just put everything he had into getting the Floyd fight going you think he wants to sit thru another round of negotiations with other unreasonable promoters when the fight needs to be made right now? Lets call it what it is, it's the easiest fight with a crediable opponent that can be made at this time. The End!

I meant marquez was ranked p4p 3 in the world and mosley was ranked p4p 3 when they fought mayweather. I have not seen clottey or margriato in a top 20 p4p ranking in the last year.
