Comments Thread For: BJ Flores-Yoan Hernandez: Sauerland Wins Purse Bid

BoxingScene.com has learned that Sauerland Event has won the purse bid for the IBF cruiserweight eliminator between Yoan Hernandez and BJ Flores. Sauerland, who promotes Hernandez put in the only bid. Square Ring Promotions, which represents BJ Flores inexplicably failed to submit a bid.

If they didn't submit a bid then maybe they have no intention of taking the fight.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if BJ sits this one out and loses his ranking to wait for some mythical huge cruiserweight fight which doesn't exist and will never materialize. He claimed last time he was on espn that he would go to Germany and fight, put up or shut up BJ.

Granted his promoter appears to be unable to promote or put matches together so DIY and be a fighter instead of just playing one on espn.

Flores will probably take this fight despite getting paid peanuts.

Hernandez has a glass chin so it's Flores' best chance to make a statement. Plus if he wins he gets a shot at Cunningham which is probably the most lucrative fight out there for him.
