Margarito's body punching. Can that get it done?

I forget what round it was when he first nailed Cotto with that huge bodyshot but is was sick and Cotton felt it the whole fight.

Im not sold that Pac can take legit, hard body punches.

Cotto landed on his elbows and didnt really get him in the right spot.

JMM hurt him with a body shot.

Can Margarito hurt him to the body?

Yeah, id say he could definitely cause some damage if he manages to catch him.

      But is he quick enough?

You normally need an opponent to stand still to land body shots on him, unless Pacquiao decides to stand in front of Margarito like he did with Cotto, I can't really see how Margarito would be able to corner Pacquiao to get his body shots in. JMM managed to hit Pacquiao to the body but he did it with counterpunching, Margarito's counterpunching is.......well it isn't.

He can. But i don't really think he can do it in a way that Manny can't retaliate and hurt him back. He has the reach and height advantage to not take enough punishment in return, but Pac's speed will allow him to recover quick from those body shots.

Margarito's number one weapon is going to be his NASA uppercut; he's going to send Pacquiao's dome straight to the moon.

I agree for the most part but vs. Cotto and Clottey Pacquiao planted and traded alot during both fights. Especially vs. Clottey.

I dont see him changing up and turning into this master boxer by November. I think he will stand and trade with Margarito too.

cotto landed on pac's body. pac commented several times how he wanted to test cotto's power & pretended that the punches didnt hurt but in reality they did hurt.

stop parroting what a ***** poster said about cotto not really working pac's body. pac tasted it, & spit it out.

you do know about the stick training to the body method of pac right?

another useless knee jerk reactionary thread.
