After or before the Manny fight ? In the end of 2010, with his undefeated record ? After a dull fight with Cotto ?
Depends. If he does fight Pacquiao, and loses, he'll probably retire for good. If he wins, he'll probably come back and fight someone he knows he can beat to pad his record a little more.
soon i hope, the sooner the better, ive been saying this for a good while now, but boxing is better off as a whole with mayweather being retired.
fights that fight fans want to see get made when mayweather is out of the picture. when mayweather is an active fighter, we have a bunch of bull**** like this holding up match making because everyone is waiting to see who he's going to fight and no one wants to risk missing a chance of fighting him.
so fights never get made, fighters and their managers and promoters start playing even more waiting games and politics, basically floyd is the constipation of boxings match making in and around 140-154, the most exciting range of weight classes in boxing right now, thick with potential great fights.
the proof is in the pudding, when floyd was retired we saw a lot of fighters who were waiting in the wings fight one another because they were out to fight for the top spot, not wait around hoping for a fight with mayweather or afraid to fight someone else because they don't want to lose their spot or chance at fighting mayweather........
give boxing a enema floyd and retire for good.................
