Anyway, actions speak louder than words. When negotiations first broke down, everyone expected Floyd to go fight Matthew Hatton or something. Instead, he fought Shane, two months after Pac took a tuneup with Clottey. Fast forward. Pac is fighting Margarito. Again...actions speak louder than words.
I'm with you on the whole situation that this mess has created...but we as the fans have a right to voice our opinions (no matter how dumb and narrow minded or thoughtful and concise yes?)

And to add on to your last statement....yes actions do speak a helluva lot louder than words....Pacquiao is fighting Margarito....and Mayweather is taking a vacation. Speaks for itself....

I'm not trying to get into any thread wars with anyone...just a simple fan looking for some simple answers....

Why diddn't Manny agree the 1st time around to demands? Why aren't the terms disclosed of what was sent over to Team Mayweather? Why won't Al Haymon speak up?
    Stuff like that....

Bob has spoken up regarding this....Ross has spoken up about this....Richard (who was not involved) gave his two cents....same with De La Hoya, Floyd Sr. and Jeff Mayweather. Seems that the only two people left to speak on the "negotiations" are Floyd himself AND the other supposed party involved...Al Haymon himself.

Come on Al....get some credibility back to Team Mayweather by just acknowledging that you did in fact at least SPEAK with Ross. I know that Leonard is the "adviser" to Team Mayweather (Leonard = Koncz) but let Al speak for himself.

                We are all still waiting.....

http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/box...ory?id=5412488 (more in depth interview from ESPN)

"Arum had said over and over during the past two weeks, beginning on a 3 a.m. ET July 17 conference call to announce that the exclusive window to negotiate with Mayweather had closed, that he was negotiating the fight with Al Haymon, Mayweather's adviser, with Greenburg as the go-between.

Arum said he would discuss deal points with Greenburg, who would then take them to Haymon and vice versa.

Leonard Ellerbe, Mayweather's other adviser and the public voice because Haymon refuses to speak to the press, said a few days after Arum outlined how the talks went that there had never been any negotiations."

                (short passage from interview)

Gag order is done....you may speak now!
Ellerbe has , in effect, acknowledged thet a conversation took place. but Ellerbe is characterizing it as 'asking what Floyd wants is not a negotiation'.

These guys are arguing over semantics. Arum sent a proposal. And says that it was a negotiation. Team May is saying that , basically, "yeah...we heard from Arum. But it was the same 'ole BS we were not interested in".

I believe that BOTH camps acted in bad faith. Arum was deceptive and duplicitous by sending an offer ne knew would be rejected. Haymon was stubborn and inflexible by not even countering.

Ellerbe....not Haymon....just like how Floyd Stans don't want to believe anything that doesn't come directly from Floyd's mouth....why should we believe what Ellerbe has to say on this....why doesn't Haymon speak for himself? I understand the whole behind the scenes, Ozunu Ninja stealth, work from the shadows cuz that's how I wanna do it attitude....but come on...your Boy is getting put on blast on Main Street and your just gonna let the whole media and general boxing population **** on him like that? Advisers do their job....your boys' DO WHAT'S RIGHT....

but seriously, unless GBP is ready to start doing independent ppvs from this point on, its not wise to play around with HBO

in a way, i kinda like it...we wont have this GBP monopoly with the network and we might get to see some other non-GBP fighters get some spotlight
Maybe Arum swined himself an exclusive deal with HBO like the one Golden boy had so that is what lead Ross to come out and say fuc you to GBP and Schaeffer
