Aight your on. I really think this is going to be a good fight and it atleast has some intrigue. I know Cab has the moxie but i'm interested in seeing if he has the toughness to go with a slugger like Gamboa.

Hbo should approve this fight before Arum axes the idea which will be another black eye for boxing Caballero.

They already approved, matter of fact, Caballero-Gamboa is the fight they wanted in the first place, but Gamboa's team low-balled Caballero.


If In-House Rank is so afraid of losing to Caballero, they need to do what a lot of promoters do in optional defenses and get 3 options on CC, so they can eat off of his plate if Gamboa were to lose. And then they can set up what would still be an even bigger fight next year between Lopez and Caballero.

This will be a typical situation when Arum doesn't want to expose or risk one of his fighters to a potencial loss with nothing to gain. I choose Gamboa over Caballero but Caballero is a fighter that could cause trouble to any boxer in his weight. I'm sure Arum won't take the risk.
