ducking sucks, but only hurts that fighter...the catchweight titles (and i blame the commissions for allowing them) hurt the sport

    IMO

Ducking a fight is worse. If you want to get more specific with the Mayweather and Pac situations I'd say fighting for a vacant title against a guy who not only was caught trying to cheat and was beaten senseless but also has no rep in the division and you also have no rep in the division and having the fight at a catchweight no less is worse than blowing off a fight that could still occur next year when your certain whether or not you trainer for the last 10 years will be present. Thats just my take on things. but i'm open for debate.

They are both bad. But what Pacquiao does is the worst, He rejects a $30 million drug test and then claims Floyd is ducking him so he runs off to fight a guy who is coming off a KO loss and fights him at a catchweight for a vacant belt. How can people say Floyd "ducked the fight" when Arum admitted there was no negotiations?

Yeah I agree catchweight fights for belts are not that bad by nature its just how you do them and what is your motivation for setting the catchweight. If this were only a matter of Manny vs. Margarito at 150 for a title minus all of the other BS about this fight I couldn't honestly say this was wrong. Hey I got an idea though. Since 150 is just about smack dab in the middle of Jr. MW and WW why doesn't manny put his title on the line too? lol naw thats ******...

                    i agree completely....

the only thing that makes the fight bs is that the jr.mw title on the line.

but that's not the fighter's fault. wbc wants a piece of this money fight. blame the sanctioning bodies.

ducking fights, especially when your'e one of the best in your era and the whole world is clamoring for it is worse for the boxers, and worse for the sport
