Yeah, on any given day any boxer could be beaten by another. Ruiz could hug Ali to death, or - even though Johnny's not an especially big hitter and Ali had a first-rate jaw - he may even knock him out on an off-form Ali day.

So I reckon the answer is yes, John Ruiz could have beaten Ali... if they'd fought 1000 times.

I don't even think he could beat floyd patterson or any of the fighters ali has beaten over the years. Ruiz is garbage. Ali would bloody his face worst than he did to cooper...
