    Catchweights

Now I am no fan of Pacquiao but I respect his skills. Putting that aside, I hate catchweights; f&ck them. If you want to fight for a title then fight at the designated weight class. Period. Anybody else here completely disagree with the whole catchweight thing? Regardless of Pacquiao, I am referring to each and every fighter who has ever asked for a catchweight fight. Either man up and fight for the title of your choosing at the exact weight class or keep yourself in your own weight class. God, I hate that catchweight nonsense.

weight limits aren't prefect. maybe if it's for a title then there are problems otherwise it's fine. probably. imo.

What really irritates me is allowing 24 hours for people to blow up 10-20 lbs before fighting.

              The Pac-Marg catchweight is annoying.

BUT...if it wasn't for catchweights we would miss out on a lot of fights.

              • De La Hoya vs. Pacquiao
              • De La Hoya vs. Hopkins

              etc. etc.

So yes it sucks but at the same time we would've missed out on a lot of fights.

One catchweight for one giant fight is acceptable. Catchweights for tune ups?? RidiCULO. And no catch should be for a title with different limits.

Any thing between 148 -154 pounds is a junior middleweight fight.

154 is just the maximum limit so whats the ***ing problem?

Yeah because a fighters safety isn't as important as making sure everyone weighs exactly the same.
