Why doesn't Pacquiao keep his catchweight ideas under the table.

Have it the way Oscar had it with Hopkins where there would be silent catchweight in the contract that would not be talked about or told to the public. When Oscar fought Hopkins about 6 years ago there was a 156 pound catchweight for Hopkins undisputed championship, where for the first time all four major titles and the linear and ring title were on the line. Very few initially knew about this until Hopkins weighed in at 156 pounds. It would be no different from when Margarito came in at 145 or 144 against Mosley, however, there was no catchweight in that scrap.

This way Pacquiao's team would be able to have their fight until after the fight where boxing fans would do what they do best, which is give no credit to the winner. Pretty easy solution really.

Because Pac's legacy needs to be numbed down a little bit.....his resume is of superhuman proportions.

It's a mind game, and it always has been. Roach wants his opponents thinking that Pacquiao is this little guy who can barely make weight.

The biggest mistake they at 140+ make is thinking that Pacquiao is this little guy, that they can rush in and overwhelm him by fighting like the bigger fighter. When in reality, that's the biggest mistake you can make against Pac. He carves up opponents who fight in that style.
