When Mayweather hurts Pac, you don't think he will follow up? Of course he will, just because they have different punch outputs (JMM and Mayweather) doesn't mean Mayweather can't be effective against him.
How will Mayweather hurt Pac if he potshots all night? You're not going to hurt Pac by Pot shotting him.JMM put combos against Pac, and fought back, whereas Mayweather will move around, and try to be more elusive. They are two completely different fighters. However, Marquez did time Pacquiao well, and if Marquez can do it then so can Mayweather.

        Bull****

Marquez MOST effective punches were pot shots, single shot right hand counters, and 2 hit combos. Whenever he threw the combo the first punch would be used as a distraction to set up the mean blow coming after. Mayweather doesn't need to use combos as much since he's a much more accurate sharpshooter.

Marquez would OCCASIONALLY throw 3 punch combos which weren't always effective. As a matter of fact his combo punching is the reason he lost the damn fight; manny managed to catch him in the middle of a combo and knocked him down. That one point made him lose.

The best punches that night were all in Mayweather fashion.

He have to do it in way that Floyd won't be able to counter him in return.

I'll tell you what I would have agreed with you as far as the argument pac just needs to hurt Mayweather until the Mosley fight. I was surprised and impressed that Mayweather recovered so quickly from those two bombs and that it did not deter him one bit. In fact he became quite a bit more aggressive, for Floyd's standards, and was actually walking Mosley down. Initiating the fight.

It may look easy but fighting the way pac fights is unbelievably demanding.

yeah he never did it at the lower weights when he was throwing punches like crazy.

he didn't do it against de la hoya since he was potshotting, conserving energy i guess.

but at the higher weights, throwing punches toe to toe must be tiring him out.

it's nothing a little extra a-side meth won't fix though.

Everyone makes mistakes in the ring, including Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Ex: 2nd round of Mosley fight.

It's all about who makes the more costly mistakes rather than who makes the most mistakes.

that potshotting didn't earn him the win either..

JMM's combination was the one that always caught pac, are we talking about the same fight? pac's more vulnerable when in retreat.. just be ready for his hayemaker though..

that would be interesting if pac would be able to hurt pbf.. if pbf brawls with pac, pac's chance of winning would be bigger..

a defensive floyd have a better chance of winning against pac versus an aggressive floyd.
