Eastman who Amercans saw one time on TV and it was a piss poor preformance at that was going to beat Hopkins(you must be from across the pond, and if your not I would lie about it)?

So tell me what did you see in Allen (3rd time around) and Eastman that led you to believe Hopkins was going to get upset, or was it just Hopkins age that entered into your mind and had you believing in these two?

i can appreciate boxing skills like anyone else, but that guy was a clown
and hopkins made himself look bad. if a guy wants to put on a clinic against another decent guy without ko'ing him (for example, roy vs telesco), i'm cool
with that, but the hakkar fight? get the **** outta here. that ******.

It's very difficult to KO a runner....& Hakkar was motoring around that ring.
Hopkins did exactly what he should have in there. Had he really pressed Hakkar, or rushed him....he would have gotten nothing done.

but first of all, hopkins shoulda never fough that guy.
second, i'd rather see hopkins press him and get no where,
then try to dance and turn his back on hakkar and all that
other **** he was doin. know what i mean?
he was tryin to be a showman and be flashy when first of all, he's not roy and that's not his style and second he's doing it against a guy who barely had enough strength to bend the ropes to get into the ring...

bad fight for hopkins, he was booed in his hometown.
he said that would be his last fight in philly.
no one to blame but himself on that one.

Ha, It was an age thing, in light of the weekends events I'm all over that, Hopkins of two years ago would have beaten taylor (in some peoples eyes he did this time) Granted Eastman has looked lazy for people in the states but he clearly has ability, Hop never hurt him in the fight and in my mind he started to come back in the late rounds as he did with Joppy, Oscar lived with Hop till the 9th round knock down and Allen well you may have a point here but he had looked encoraging coming in to the fight with Nard. Factor akll that in with the age thing which has to give eventually (it may have now) and those guys all had a shot........ interesting
