I don't think it'll be a problem for Margarito, because he's basically been a WW in his whole career. With that being sad, Manny shouldn't even fight at 150/154. 140 is where he should be at. But he'd beat Margarito regardless of weight IMO, 147/150/154/160 - it wouldn't matter.

So personally I think he should just fight Margarito @ 154, but it doesn't really bother me that it'll be at 150. (apart from the thousands of lame ass thread I'll have to see about it...)

I dont know why this is such a big issue honestly. Even if Pac were to beat Marg at 154 he wouldnt be the champion at 154 same as if he beat Cotto at 154. With so many world championships floating around the belts dont make the champions the champions make the belts.

It's not a ***** move. The catchweight is fine, i don't think it will affect Margarito at all.

The problem is, that it's a titlefight. Doing catchweights for titlefights is cheating history, especially if you use "8 division champ" as a marketing and legacy building tool.

What's the point in collecting belts that mean nothing?
The thing Pacquiao is doing is NOT the same thing as what Henry Armstrong did.

if he wants to come in a 150 then fine but Margarito shouldn't be FORCED to have to come in a 150 that is BULL****! and if the fight is at a catch weight of 150 then it shouldn't be for a title

that title is suppose to be for Jr Middleweights which is 154-160, just like guys can't win the belt when they are over the required weight, guys should be able to fight for a title at a catch weight that is 4 lbs off from the division

but unfortunately a lot of Pacman fans don't care, they will make excuses for this **** because all they care about is him winning another Championship

this fight is really a joke if Margarito has to fight at 150

It shouldnt be for a title regardless. Nobody actually believes these are the 2 best fighters in the world at 154. I also think you may be mistaken about the JMW weight limit.

When Pac fought Cotto at 145, i believed it was OK cuz Cotto can have weigh in at 146 before and 1 pound is not gonna make a diffirence. Plus Cotto is younger and stronger compare to Dela Hoya that Pac fought. Even with a title on the line, i see no problem in that.

Now against Margarito, 150 is also reasnoanble because Pac comes in at 148-149 at fight night in WW division. Now he has to weigh that during the official weigh in. But i don't believed that a title should be on the line in this fight.

I dont agree with the catchweight. This will make Pac look bad. i hope this is just Koncz speaking because it's really Pac who is demanding ill be very disappointed with him.

That ain't the point though. If you choose to move up weight classes then you have to expect to be fighting naturally bigger guys. You can't expect them to lose extra weight.

yeah your right, based on rankings (which clearly don't mean nothing anymore), Angulo probably should be fighting for this Vacated title not Pacman OR Margarito, it probably should be Cintron vs Angulo II for that title

and yeah CORRECTION the Jr Middleweight weight limit is 148-154, again if Pacman only wants to fight as high as 150 then fine but Margarito shouldn't be forced to fight at 150 is all I am saying
