If khan stopped maidana by tko or ko would he get props? i know hes got a glass jaw but if he fought a puncher like maidana and beat him convincingly by ko/tko, maybe even taking a few shots from maidana would he get people respect as a true contender and not just a hypejob???
What if Khan stopped Maidana???

if u look at the victor post fight, maidana looked ecstatic, like he never expected to win, even his team, i think he got lucky and he knows it, ortiz has gone on record saying he'd rematch him for free, but he saus maidana is avoiding him......Comment

I think he'd KO Maidana without taking anything significant.
I don't know why people are still looking for Khan to prove he can take a good shot - he can't.
Bradley with his modest KO percentage is more likely to KO Khan than Maidana. Maidana is made for Khan.Comment

Yes, exactly! And Khan is faster than Ortiz with probably the same amount of power. People are very quick to dismiss Khan's chin against Maidana, but the same can just as well be said about the latter's own chin.
Sure, he kept getting up against Ortiz and went on to stop him, but another opponent might not have wilted under the pressure. Maidana was getting outboxed in that fight.
Here are some of my questions to the masses, though...
- If Khan thoroughly UDs Maidana without getting hit, will you give him credit or still keep ragging on about the chin issue? "Maidana was an overhyped bum with no skills", right?
- If Khan stops Maidana without getting hit, will you give him credit or still keep ragging on about the chin issue? "Maidana was an overhyped bum with a glass chin himself", right?
Answers on a postcard, please. Well... a reply here will do. :wnk1:Comment

I hate to sound cliché but its not about whether you get knocked down its about whether you get up and are still fighting to win. Thats what a good chin is really about. To me the verdict is still out on Khan. I've seen what Maidana has done with very solid talented fighters in Victor Ortiz and Victor Cayo. The only dangerous opponent I've seen Khan against he was sparked out so right now I'd go with the guy more proven. Khan looks like he has skills but he has yet to start his real career in which he's facing off at his elite peers. IMO he has not done that.Comment
