I agreed a long time ago that it should be at 154 but I still don't agree with his logic. If you criticize Manny for trying to get someone to come down 4lbs then you need to question Floyd for taking fights with smaller guys and telling them to come up 7-12lbs ........ some were title fights (Ricky), some were not BUT it favors Floyd ..... but you must not forget that Floyd is also trying to preserve his "0" with these fights so he has been very careful with who he fights.

Both Floyd and Manny are going by the rules but if 150 is not fair, what Floyd did is called what?

The Hatton fight no. Hatton was a champ at 147, you may not have liked his performance when he won the title but he won it beating a guy who gave Berto life and death. The JMM fight I thought was trash. Those type of fights I call showcase fights like Pac's fight with Diaz in that it was low risk.

I wouldn't have a problem with the catch-weight if the 154lb title wasn't on the line, but this is utter bull****.

Pacquiao has been one of my favourite fighters for years, but I'm now sick of him having the rules bent in his favour all the time. If he thinks Margarito is 'too tall' then he should fight somebody his own size instead, it's that simple. You don't see Margarito saying Pac is 'too fast' therefore he must wear 18oz gloves.

If he thinks Margarito is too tall, then what about the 6ft 2in 147lber Paul Williams?

I love Pacquiao as a fighter (and for what it's worth I think he'd beat Paul Williams), but I hate the way he's being managed, protected and milked like the cash-cow he is.

Im not sure 150 helps him a lot.

Margo made 147 for 10 of his last 12 fights. besides his comeback fight....Margo hasn't weighed 154 lbs since 2004.

you guys obviously don't know **** about boxing. 154 is the LIMIT. You don't have to be exactly 154 lbs you dumb asses. 150 lbs means it's still technically in the weight class because it's above the weight limit of the next closest class of 147 lbs.

No sir you obviously don't know boxing. What a catch-weight does is keep you from rehydrating to your full weight potential come fight night. As long as you make the 154lbs wieght limit at weigh-in you are allowed to rehydrate above that limit. 150lb catch weight for the WBC title is an insult to those JMW fighters that work hard in the sport only to have two clowns who fight a class below get first shot. Not to mention one does not have a license to fight the other refuse random drug testing. Boxing boxing boxing shame on you.
