Catchweights suck. It ruins the legitamacy of the fight and should this fight happen, it shouldn't be for a title. If the two parties agree to fight for the title and the sanctioning body allow for it to happen, it would be a slap in the face for all other boxers whom are lined up for that title.

It is a dissapointment if TOP RANK/Pacquiao camps if they decide to persue the "catch weight" for the the 154 title and it would remove what little credibility this fight had in the larger scheme.

And Margarito needs an inroad back into the sport of boxing, no one is forcing him to accept the catch-weight as you stated, it all amounts to the same thing regardless of who called out who, that's called posturing and works in the WWF and obviously sometimes in boxing, either way both situations are/were equally lame.

i don't see the problem with 150 lbs since both guys are 147 lbers. but the alphabet org sanctioning the fight for their championship title is pretty ****ed up. I don't see why pac should get the blame for that.

i'm not surprised.go to boxrec.com and look at pacs opponents.every last one of them exept for cotto where slow one dimensional walking punching bag.weight drained,old,and shot.he has'nt accomplished **** and as soon as he gets in with a real fighter(MAYWEATHER)his ass will be out.

I'm a MP fan, but Manny should stop with the catch weights if your going for another title...in the past fighters who wanted to move up for another did so with no catchweight; the challenged the champion at that weight class. No more catchweights. PLEASE!!!!

Catch-weights are useless and Pac deserves criticism for it, however, in context at least one guy is performing his job..."fighting", while soldier boy is on another vacation.
