GARCIA DECISIONS CASIMERO!

Ramon Garcia eked out a hard-earned split decision win over the Philippines' Jhonreil Casimero seconds ago to win the interim WBO light flyweight crown in Mexico.
Casimero appeared to have started strong, chasing Garcia, but the latter proved more solid in the latter rounds.
Casimero was visibly bothered by repeated headbutts, where referee Sammy Viruet, who also refereed the Z Gorres-Fernando Montiel bout in Cebu some years back, failed to control and did not even deduct a point off Garcia.
In the chief support, Federico Catubay put up a game fight before bowing via a close decision loss to Rodrigo Guerrero in an IBF superfly eliminator.
More to come...as soon as I think up more excuses.
