Anyway Cotto is way to young to fight Floyd,he must be 35+ like Floyd s last 4 of 5 opponents

I kinda doubt it gets made, but it's a possibility, and it's looking like Floyd don't want to fight Pac to me, though i really try to stay out of that whole scene. Tbo, i don't think Cotto is ready for Floyd. I think he needs 1 or 2 good competitive wins before even thinking about Floyd.

The reason i think Cotto stands a chance after a couple good difficult wins, is Cotto does well with boxer-defensive types. But he still needs to watch Floyds counter skills, which he could develop during tune-up fights.

Cotto's weakness is come forward brawler-volume punchers. But who knows what Steward has been doing with him? But as it stands, he'll lose against Floyd, and probably Pac-style, in a humiliating way, being broken down slowly.

But give him the right tune-ups, let him get his confidence and game back on, and we just might have a very competitive fight. Maybe. And i want it at 154.

Not really but stranger things have occured in boxing. The fight makes sence in a certain regard though, still I find it hard to believe Arum would let Cotto get away like that, especially to fight Floyd Mayweather.

Does Arum have any power to allow or control the outcome of a Cotto buyout? i really don't know, but i would love to see him get away from that scum Arum, who sided with margo about the wraps crap. He's a greedy snake.

Yeah, he's made some decent fights for Cotto, but they were mostly in house weren't they? Keep-the-money-in-the-house Arum. It's not like he didn't profit immensely from those fights.

Was this before or after he said that he was taking a year or two off and that he's not thinking about boxing right now?

If Mayweather fights in December without even attempting to make a fight with Pacquiao, then it'll be clear to me that neither side wants the fight.

My feelings exactly. Cotto needs to rebuild his confidence; recollect himself. And maybe with more improvement under Steward he could maybe give Mayweather some trouble. Then again, looking at all the punishment Cotto has taken in his career, maybe there isn't much that improvement could do.

Cotto probably should be looking for a somewhat easier fight just to build his momentum, but if he wants a really big fight Mayweather is a fairly good option because he is different from the guys that beat him up (not to mention the finacial benefit).

Plus Cotto has fought a who's who of guys Floyd is really the only one missing, and as a boxer beating Floyd would be the biggest thing he can do (with the possible exception of avenging his loss to Manny)
