I mean I dont vnt to crap on this fight, because it will be entertaining as hell and looking into optios is not that bad of a idea.

I mean he has never fought at the weight nor has Margarito fought a top JMW.

So how are this guys deserving of a vacant title when they should not be ranked in the top 10 of any alphabets organizations.

I consider this a shame to boxing and trying to cheat history!!

Honestly the only real champ IMO at 154 is Cotto. Dzin should have been stripped but I guess you can count him as one as well. Martinez won a vacant title over cintron to become champ (really didn't win, but was handed the title), as did Spinks with the IBF strap. Since Cotto is technically the only true champ, the real question is this; Do we as boxing fans really want Manny to win a title off a real champ by fighting Miguel Cotto?

To answer your question, I'm honestly on the fence about this one, as far as giving him credit for this as his 8th title. I really wish Margarito would have fought Rhodes for the strap like it was originally planned so all of this would be a non issue.
